Honorio and Sylvia Galvan opened their first Teotihuacan in Lindale Park in January 1996 and brought the name to Airline Drive in 2001. The Airline location is the one people mean when they say Teo: a hot pink building, murals, beer posters and neon on nearly every wall, and a parking lot that fills at lunch. It is a family-run, family-priced cafe where the fajitas arrive sizzling, the parrillada platters for two pile grilled meats and shrimp together, and the breakfast menu, from huevos rancheros to eggs scrambled with chorizo, keeps the mornings busy. The homemade tortillas and fajitas have earned praise from the Houston Press and the Chronicle over the years. Weekday lunch specials run 11am to 3pm, and the family now runs four locations.
